With many talented professionals unemployed or worried about their careers and earnings, curiosity about business ownership as a career option is at a higher level than ever before. For the 7th straight year, The Entrepreneur’s Source is presenting ‘New England Franchise & Self Employment Showcases’ on Wednesday, April 7th at the Sheraton Hartford Hotel, East Hartford, Connecticut and on Thursday, April 8th at the Boston Marriott Peabody, Peabody, Massachusetts. Both events will feature dozens of America’s leading franchises and business opportunities, as well as a series of educational seminars on topics such as finding the right business, obtaining financing, and getting appropriate legal advice. Both events are free, and run from 10am to 4pm.
“The American workforce is filled with millions of talented, experienced people who would likely have success running their own business if they could discover the right opportunity, and had access to education about business ownership,” states Michael Harrington, New England Regional Developer with The Entrepreneur’s Source, America’s largest franchise & self employment coaching firm. “The goal of our upcoming events is to help people learn about business ownership as a possible career option, and to introduce them to a cross-section of different types of business models, industries, investment levels, and resources to assist them.”

As an extra incentive to do so, a $100 cash prize will be given to one randomly chosen attendee at each show who pre-registers online and personally checks in at the showcase. “People who succeed in business take action” says Harrington, “and we want to reward someone for taking that first step towards career independence”. The Peabody, MA event is co-sponsored by The Enterprise Center at Salem State College.
