Marie Cocco is a nationally syndicated columnist with the Washington
Post Writers’ Group and a featured contributor to Post Partisan, the
political blog of the Washington Post. Known for her depth of
reporting and robust writing, Cocco’s column appears in many of the
nation’s best-known newspapers, including the Denver Post, the
Indianapolis Star and the Portland Oregonian. It is featured on leading
