Rebecca P. Cohen helps you plug into the outdoors and improve
your well-being
Spend 30 minutes with Rebecca and bring memorable moments outside into
your every day life. We can all fit an outdoor lifestyle into a busy
schedule. Guests and callers discuss simple and impactful ideas for
plugging into nature to improve your well being and the well being of
your family.
Rebecca P. Cohen believes that time outside transforms our lives for the
better. As a gardening and outdoor lifestyle expert, Rebecca has appeared
on ABC News Chicago and FOX Morning News Boston with her 50 Outdoor
Activities for Busy Families, and has been featured on television in
multiple markets nationwide and in Metro New York and Betty Confidential,
Backyard Solutions, Washington Gardener, and Washingtonian magazines on tips
for vegetable and perennial gardening. A former member of the corporate
world for 15 years and a mom of two young boys, Rebecca started her company,
Rebecca Plants LLC, two years ago to pursue her passion for inspiring others
to garden, be outside, and improve their well-being. Rebecca's unique
products, inspiring video blogs, and a hit TV show on the web, "Get Out of
the House" http://www.rebeccaplants.com help parents and kids get off the
couch to have fun outside. Every day, Rebecca receives emails from
appreciative moms, aunts, and grandparents who have been inspired to get out
of the house and improve their well-being, thanks to her and Rebecca Plants
LLC.
Rebecca is also an advocate with corporations and public schools on the
funding of school gardens for outdoor learning and on Earth Day 2009 led
over 1,000 children through an elementary school garden to inspire more
outdoor lessons in the curriculum. She was awarded 2009 Volunteer of the
Year by the Arlington Outdoor Education Association in Arlington, Virginia,
which hosts 9,000 public school students every year at its Phoebe Hall
Knipling Outdoor Lab.
