Lisa Reynolds, RedPlum’s Mom-saver-in-chief and host of Diva Toolbox Radio: Viva la Value, is a busy working mom of two young boys who lives and breathes the value lifestyle she talks about during her radio show. Lisa’s advice? Never buy anything that’s not on sale and don’t go to the store without your coupons. She gets her love of deal hunting from her mother who she describes as “helpful Heloise” and from her grandmother who lived through the Great Depression and mailed her coupons for many years.

When she’s not at work, you can find Lisa cheering for her sons at a flag football game, hosting dinner gatherings with friends and family (using coupons to purchase the dinner of course!), taking chess lessons with her oldest son, and actively participating in her church community. She is also an avid cook with a philosophy of keeping it simple – less than five ingredients or meals in less than 30 minutes. She lives with her husband, Robert, and two sons, Robert, 8, and Ryan, 5, in Northville, Michigan.

She is an accomplished marketing executive who received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Communications from the University of Virginia and her Master of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Rochester’s William E. Simon Graduate School of Business. Lisa is frequently quoted in newspaper, magazine and blog articles, and has been featured in Better Homes & Gardens, Forbes, Family Circle, 24/7 Moms Blog and more.

Some of her top savings tips:

  • Recycle: Organize a book or movie swap within your circle of friends. You may have grown tired of the item, but to someone else, it’s brand new.
  • Online coupon codes: Always check online for coupon codes before you shop for clothes or dine out at your favorite restaurant -- you'd be suprised by the great deals you can find to save money on meals, fashion or to get free shipping for online purchases.
§ Call manufacturer 800 numbers: Up to 35 percent of manufacturers only send coupons upon request.

§ Start an office coupon swap (or with your neighbors): Have your co-workers bring in coupons that they may not be able to use and share them. Especially staple items like aspirin, cold medicine, etc. – everyone can always use these items. You may not be able to use a coupon for diapers but your co-worker or neighbor with a newborn may need it and you can share it with them.
