Valencia Ray MD, "The Confidence Doc" and president of Core Confidence Coaching, is a speaker, author of "Empower Up and Play Big: Winning at Life from the Inside Out!" and professional Mindset Coach.
She was an eye surgeon and entrepreneur for over 20 years before she sold her successful practice. She now shows women entrepreneurs and professionals how to eliminate blind spots that they don’t even realize are blocking them, so that they can create great relationships, live healthier lifestyles and have more financial abundance. Her proven and effective processes and coaching which combines science with ancient wisdom can be applied to all areas of life, both personally and professionally.
Having been a successful business owner of a busy medical practice, she also understands the importance of leadership, marketing, sales and management. It has never been more important than in today's world, that women entrepreneurs and professionals have the skills and abilities to adapt to our rapidly changing marketplace and at the same time maintain a healthy level of inner peace and satisfaction within their personal lives as well.

Background Professional Training:
Undergraduate: University of Illinois. Degree: Biology with Honors -LAS education with study in Psychology as well.
Medical School: University of Illinois. Degree: MD Typical training in medicine with electives that included Psychiatry, Neurology.
Residency Training: University of Chicago. Specialty: Ophthalmology eye physician and surgeon; emphasis is placed on Neurology, including brain anatomy and physiology, Neuro-Ophthalmology and general medical diagnosis and treatment.
Entrepreneur: Board-Certified Ophthalmologist; owned and operated a successful medical/surgical practice in Chicago, Illinois, until June 2007, at which time she sold the business. During the last ten years of practice, she attended numerous seminars and continuing education classes on recent scientific findings, as well as personal development, and has followed and studied the developments of Neuroscience in particular, for the past several years. She applied these principals and the emotional intelligence that she learned and cultivated, in a way that was practical to the management of staff.
Professional Coaching Training: Certified NLP Coach, certified by the NLP and Coaching Institute of California, an ICF accredited program.
