After graduating from the State University of New York College at
Oneonta, Eve lived in Ecuador, Uganda and Uzbekistan - sometimes with
the Peace Corps, sometimes with CARE, and sometimes just following her
big, brave, do-gooder husband around the world. She claims she is
neither big nor brave, but that doesn’t seem to stop her from going to
some pretty far-out places and getting into some pretty dicey
predicaments (or jail or someone else’s civil war). She currently
lives in Western Massachusetts now (with the guy she calls “St. John”
cause he hates when she refers to him as “the live organ donor,” and
with the two kids we made with stuff they had lying around the house).
Being back in the states hasn’t stopped her from writing about life in
the rest of the world - and it hasn’t necessarily kept her out of
trouble (or jail) either.
She may not be as big or as brave (or have quite as much facial hair)
as her husband, but she is a do-gooder at heart. She wrote the book FIRST COMES LOVE, THEN COMES MALARIA,
with the intent to answer the age-old question: How much good can a
do-gooder do with one good book? Visit Eve's website at: www.evebrownwaite.com
