“All the worlds a stage and all the men and women merely players;
they have their entrances and exists and one man plays many parts in
his time” ~ William Shakespeare
This is one of my all time favorite quotes as it represents how I
have come to see life as “human being”. Actually, it is literal in
many ways. Science is helping substantiate many areas that only a few
short years ago were looked upon with fear and suspicion by many as
“woo-woo” or “new age” – both of which were vague and “out there” sort
of terms.
Many of the processes that I first started becoming aware of ten
years ago I tried based on faith and my inner Guidance. I did not have
the kind of inner peace that I knew was possible, even though
outwardly, my life appeared successful by most standards. I am
actually a very grounded practical person in many ways. I am also very
much the visionary risk taker as well.
As I tried new modalities, I began to change. It was scary at
first, but now I am certain that once you can learn to trust yourself,
expand your sense of connection to the Divine and let go of the need to
control everything and everybody, your life can expand and grow beyond
what you could have even imagined possible!
Your responsibility is to first believe it is possible and find the
courage to take the next step. The HOW is none of your business, it is
not your job, it is the Universe’s/God’s responsibility. The journey
to true empowerment requires that you call on inner Spiritual
resources, whatever that means to you, heal your mind and emotions and
learn to feel your body again and take good care of it! This requires
self-acceptance which is actually not something that most people
experience in their lives. This is also one reason why “The Secret”
(the popular movie) does not work for many people.
One of the biggest reasons change is so difficult is that we have
created stories, mostly in early childhood, about who we are and what
we are capable of – and most of the story is very self-limiting and a
put down of our magnificence. This occurs via our logical left-brain
which is where “ego” is formed. There is a part of your brain that
creates “autobiographical memory”- in other words the story of who you
think you are.
This becomes our personal identity, which is literally a story!
This is not woo-woo, but science is finally connecting this dot. We
are unconsciously taught to think small of ourselves and others, to
expect the worse, and to feel shame and guilt in our relationship to
God. It is very important to realize that the story you write and come
to believe is literally carried in your body and becomes your
experience. Your biography becomes your biology. Literally!
If your story creates health, abundance and inner peace and you are
happy then you are all set. If it does not and you want to change, why
not start now? If not now, when? Learning how to release the old
energy blockages from negative thinking and re-wiring your brain with
information that expands your life instead of constricts you is very
possible. That is, if you are ready and if you are willing to
experience a new story for your life! Are you ready? What’s your story?
